Denmark House is a Grade II listed holiday home in the picturesque village of Hunmanby near Filey.

The property has been restored to an amazingly high standard combining many of its original features such as beamed ceilings, cast-iron fireplaces and a Victorian roll-top bath with contemporary features such as a wood burning stove, Sky TV and private Hot Tub in the garden.

Many of our guests choose to return to this fantastic property (some staying 10+ times with us) and we regularly have guests staying from further afield, such as Spain and France!





Living Areas
Lounges
The Grade II listed building features a warm and comfortable main living area featuring a piano and plenty of seating on the cosy sofas in front of the log burning stove.

There is also a snug on the ground floor with a seperate TV. Free WiFi throughout.

Dining Room
Adjoined to the kitchen, the dining room seats eight people and provides a great space in front of the decorative Aga to enjoy a family meal.

Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with a multi-fuel range, American style fridge freezer, washer, dryer, microwave and dishwasher. Cutlery, crockery, pans and utensils are all supplied in the kitchen for you if you fancy cooking something special while you are away. Tea towels, oven gloves and basic washing up supplies are provided.

Garden featuring Hot Tub & BBQ
High walls enclose this private garden which is a great space to relax for everyone on an evening. There is a grass garden for the kids to run around in, a patio for hosting your very own BBQ and a Hot Tub to sit back and relax in.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
First Floor
All the spacious bedrooms are situated upstairs in this two-story home. There is a four-poster double bed in the main bedroom, a double bed in the other main bedroom with an en-suite shower and toilet, and then two twin rooms (2 single beds in each) to accommodate the whole family and groups alike. The bathroom is also on the first floor, with unmistakable pink walls, a Victorian roll-top bath and sizable shower.

Other
There is ample parking outside this property as the house sits at the back of a village courtyard.

Currently our insurance will not cover for any EV charging via our properties domestic sockets and therefore these must be recharged at a designated EV charging point. The nearest charging points are:

- McDonalds, Dunslow Road, Seamer, Scarborough, YO11 3YU
- Lidl, Hilderthorpe Road, Bridlington, YO15 3HA

This is a no smoking property.

Up to two well behaved dogs may be considered however, we will require a Pet surcharge fee of 50GBP per pet. We do ask that dogs are not let into sleeping areas, do not go on any of the furniture and are not left unattended in the property at any time. Alternatively, there is a boarding kennels and cattery a 5 minute drive from the property (Springfield Kennels and Cattery).

All bed linen and towels are provided however we do ask you not to use fake tan or any other such products as marks of this nature can not be removed from the laundry and therefore replacements will need to be charged to your party.

Guests of this property are within a few yards of the Hunmanby main street, which boasts a multitude of shops.

Food & Drink...
If you are cooking at home, there is a local butcher almost on the doorstep of Denmark House, there is also Co-op and Premier on the main street. There is a small cafe just along the road, with Hunmanby Pantry providing you with fantastic sandwiches, salads and other quality local ingredients. If it is evening food you require, there is a Chinese takeaway, plus many other takeaways in the local area which deliver to Hunmanby, details of which are provided within your information pack.

Local Area
The ancient ruins of a medieval motte and bailey Castle can be found in the center of the village on the corner of Castle Hill, now in the grounds of Hunmanby Hall. Mentioned in the Doomsday Book, the remains sit opposite the 11th century All Saints' Church.

Hunmanby is a relaxed village with a holiday-style way of life, you are close to the beach and within a short drive of the seaside resorts of Scarborough and Filey. Perfect for taking the kids down to the beach with a bucket and spade, grabbing some fish and chips or enjoying an ice cream.

Just a short drive down the road is The Bay, Filey. The Bay is home to a leisure centre boasting a gym, sauna and swimming pool. On site you will also find a putting green, tennis court and the John Paul Jones pub which serves great food.

Walking or cycling routes are in abundance along this coast, so there is plenty to do. There are also a selection of local golf courses within reach if you want bring your clubs!
