Puerto Del Carmen has grown from a small fishing village to become one of Lanzarote's most popular areas!
Only 5 minutes walk away from the six kilometre stretch of golden, sandy beaches which are washed by the waters of the Atlantic and all fly the Blue Flag for cleanliness and lack of contamination.
The surrounding waters are considered to be some of the most tranquil in the Canary Islands; excellent for Swimming, diving and other water sports, with the water park only a short bus ride away!
The new town hosts bars, restaurants, a casino & ten pin bowling, together with a plethora of tourist shops along a picturesque promenade, with a golf course close by.
The old town has many restaurants with outdoor terraces that overlook the marina below and the distant volcanic peaks. The old harbour is still a popular place to visit, boasting some excellent seafood restaurants, with locals playing the traditional game of quoits in the square.
